you need to pull the fault codes, if it came on and stayed on.

If it was on for a second or two while engine was cold I would not worry, this is not uncommon with modern engines

    hi lonky

i had only travelled about a mile when it came on, it stayed on till i got home which is about another 2 miles.
i have to drive 20 miles to work tomorrow on the motorway will it be safe to do so?

Driving with light on perminantly is not recommended, if mixture is wrong, damage to the cat can result. Damage to the engine other than this is unlikley.

would see if light stays on when you next use it. If so would get it to garage ASAP

    The less miles the better.

Once the unit is plugged into a diagnostics PC then the situation will be much clearer
