Joined today on behalf of my daughter,silver surfers have more time!
Is there any way that you can get the fault codes on a Polo without going to the dealer.
On the Vectra you could access the codes with a paper clip as long as you understood the "bleeps"

which model polo? whats wrong with it?
you can make a fault code reader. there used to be a how to guide on either clubpolo.co.uk or polog40.co.uk

The Model is 1.4S and the message refers to the exhuast emission burning lamp !plus it shows the engine management light, this info is second hand from my daughter
