After research about suspension problems on bora and golfs to try and find out what was making an almighty racket on my car i found pads/clips can be an issue.

Went out for a quick nosey and managed to track down the problem - indeed, my pads are rattling.

Now im expecting one of two things -

1 - the antirattle clip isnt on properly

2 - the pads are just plain crap. they where only changed a month or two ago, bought them from a normal motor factors. Anyone had a problem with ill fitting pads?

I must point out that the rattle appeared a few weeks after changing the discs and pads, and has got steadily worse.

Would anyone happen to have a pic of the caliper with the clip on so i can see what it is supposed to look like when it is properly attached?

I would go out and take wheel off and have a look but im at my flat and all my tools are at home

In the "How to" section, there is a very good post on changing front brake discs and pads. There are some good pics on there that might be useful to you.
