front fog light not working

Today my car has told me my front drivers side fog light doesn't work and i have checked and it is right it doesnt work. i have taken the bulb out and it looks fine but it still doesnt work. Any help fixing will be gratefully accepted.

If it isn't a bulb it could be an on board power supply fault or wiring fault. Have you tested the bulb?

Have tested the bulb after removing from vehicle and the bulb works. connector fits very well. Have put on vehicle and still doesnt work. Any ideas.
Also is it common for the air mass meter to pack up on these vehicles cos i have been told they do around the 90-100k mark. Is there any other things should look 4.

You need to have a fault code read carried out on the Onboard Power Supply unit. AMM failure is very common; have the engine scanned for codes as well as the OPS unit.

Have had my car scanned for codes and it came up with no faults.

Problem fixed. A very big thanks to crasher for all your help. I traced the wiring from the foglight and found a connector right near to left hand (n/s) fog light wasn't making good connection and so i broke the connection and then refitted it and it has cured the problem. more importantly got rid of the ping noise and the message on the dis.
