    Hi,

I have a 99 V5 golf and have noticed that there are gaps in my fuse box with no fuses. I am unsure as to what they are for when referring to the fuse box card or what amp fuse should be inserted. Is there a diagram somewhere on the web I can refer to.

Also, I've just noticed that there is something that flaps down by my interior lights right by the front windscreen but can find no mention of this in the manual. Any ideas??

    Any help apprecriated. Cheers

Hi - not all fuseways are always used in the fusebox ! fuses are left out cause these are basically spare ways !
The flap down thing is a small sunvisor - hope this sheds some light !! lol

Small sunvisor - very strange as seems to have a small sensor or something on it!

The fuses that are missing have pictures on the card - one is a car with an arrow going over the bonnet and in through the windscreen and one is an exclamation mark in a bumpy circle!!

just had a look at mine - gti anniversary (petrol) - there is no sensor on the small sunvisor and mine has the same fuses missing as yours !
ive had a look in the haynes manual / hand book but it doesnt mention what the symbols mean - if someone has a service manual they might be able to help you !

Just found this on the internet and is a list of what the fuses are. One is for the sun roof and I don't have one. The other is for the TCM!!

Thought the little visor thingy may be something to do with rain sensor or anti dazzle mirror - obviously nothing as technical as that just a sun visor!!
