    Default battery draining – 22-02-2008,02:37 PM
    hi, I have a problem with my 1999 passat tdi estate, it will not start on some cold mornings, the battery just dies, the glow plug sign goes out and i turn the key to start but it tries to start but the battery just seems to go, so then i have to get a jump start and it's fine after that.
    Any ideas as to whats going wrong???

    Have you tryed a new battery as the cold winter months do kill a battery and do as you have described i hope that this will help you. Regards Steve
