I normally tell them I don't have any change. There are odd occasions, particularly when I've had a few shandies, when I tend to bung them £1 or £2. If I've had lots of shandies they quite often get a burger or a cup of tea.

And before anyone says it, yes I know they pack up their rags at the end of the day, jump in their car and go home

When they ask for spare change, i say no.. I only carry Notes!

Joking aside... I dont give them anything, most of them in my town are "druggies" hence why i dont..

Years back I was 'accosted' by said dope/crack/cider/head.
I told him that if he had enough bottle (no pun intended) to ask me for money..he could knock on doors & canvass for me & my team...FOR ££££££££'s.
Did he???......did he ****!

IF I'm town with the gfriend & kids & asked if I have 'any spare change?'...I point at the 'missus'/ kids & explain that when you have 'any of these' then there is no such thing as 'spare change'.
