    Evening all,

Done a search and think it could be loose brake calipers but I'm after some specific B6 experience/advice please.

If the cars been sat for a while or first journey of the day, I've noticed and occasional clunk/knock noise that sound like it's coming from directly underneath and slightly in front of the rear wheel.

Usually only happens in stop-start traffic and again not all the time.

It's had new pads all round. They were fitted by a VW dealer so not sure if they'd be genuine parts or not. Hope they were.

Any ideas or advice? Should I be worried?

    Cheers.
    H

I've not experienced this buddy but maybe go back and tell the lads you're concerned that this has happened since you've been to them for the work on your car.
If they give a **** they'll help out....if not whip the wheel off and check the nuts & bolts, or go to another garage.
Sorry I couldn't help more than that! Good luck with it!!

is this when the handbrake is released ?

are the wheels hot at the wheel nuts ?

good idea to replace discs at rear at same time as pads, so the handbrake is wound in & stop seized brake caliper ...................... due to being fully extended
