    Default Rubbish when Cold.. – 17-02-2008,02:34 PM
    I have a 2001 V5 and i've noticed that when the engine's cold it drives like rubbish.. The gear changes are rough, no matter how smooth i try and make them (Manual). Does anyone else have this problem?

    I have a similar problem, in that when it's cold, the gearbox is very stiff, especially 2nd gear. Unless I let the revs drop right down, there's a kind of recoil, and it has to be forced into gear. When the car has warmed up, it's usually OK!?

    Yeah, once the engine temp has reached the 'Normal' range, it beautiful to drive.

    Sounds like a dodgy / dirty MAF (Mass airflow meter)..
