My wife has just bought a 55 reg polo 1.4S Auto. Seems to have more road noise than earlier models. Is this due to the alloy wheels, the (Matador) tyres or is there less insulation? There is also a fair bit of wind noise. Can the driver's door be adjusted to close better against its rubbers to reduce wind noise?

Hi The doors can be adjusted,i would suggest start with tape around the complete door and remove it in sections testing the car each time you remove a piece of tape, this way you will be able to find out were the noise is coming from
