    Hi all,
New member. Tried to find a thread on this issue, so my applogies if mentioned elsewhere.

I have a 130tdi sport 02. It has motorised lumbar support whose metal frame snapped (a common fault I believe)

The plastic seat back cover bottom clips also broke at the same time, as my weight transferred to the cover when the weld went.

I was quoted £630 by the local *******.

    Two queries -
1- Can I replace the lumbar unit if so what is the part number?
2- Can I replace the seat back cover as the broken rings are/were glued onto the main board of the back, again part no please?

I would be most grateful for any links to solve this problem. I have a link showing the proceedure in 1-8 steps and feel I should be able to do it myself if I can get the parts?

    Many thanks

    Hi,

I too have the same problem on an A4 tdi Quattro Sport Avant 02 plate.

I think the problem is the matt for the lumbar support, the part no. is 8EO 881 891.

The part no. quoted above is for the drive motor that moves the lumbar matt.

if I'm not mistaken, you should just have to replace the lumbar matt.

Here's a screen shot of the audi ordering software in a word doc.

    P.S.

Have a look at this site, it shows you how to relace the lumbar matt....just gotta get one now but this will come in handy.
    hope it helps.
