    Hi all,

I bought my 99 A3 1.8T a few months back. It had warped discs when i bought it but thought getting them changed would be OK.
Then I found out the discs that were on when i bought the car had only been on 3k when they warped. I changed them anyway and 2k later i can feel them warping and getting worse.
Not sure if this has anything to do with it but my steering wheel is just slightly off centre when driving straight and when i let go of wheel it veers to the left reasonably quickly, even on uncambered roads.
Anyone any idea if it may be just a case of badly aligned wheel(s) or maybe something bent slightly?
If anyone has had this or has any idea what it may be then please get in touch.

cheap disks ? average disks and good pads ? to get the good disks to warp you need a lot of heat or maybe you drive in a lot of deep water with hot disks maybe this with all the floods about hot then cold quickly will warp then

just read your post again are the front brakes sticking on and over heating ,can you smell them even at normal driving speeds

Think discs were OK, the first set to go were done at the audi garage local to were I bought the car, so i would think they're reasonable quality.
Pretty sure they aren't sticking, car moves freely enough. Not driving through water or anything like that.
Thanks for the response, bit of a puzzler this one!

Do you brake hard alot? This causes warping. If you do drive your car hard you may want to consider buying performance brakes as these are disigned for heavy braking.
