Hi everyone just lately i have noticed my 130 tdi avant se has a uneven tickover when started from cold it only lasts a few seconds but it never happened before. No faults on Vag Com, Would it be glow plug on way out ? or any other fault.

Mine has done this a few times over a period of 18 months. It starts, chugs, emitts more smoke than usual, but clears after a several seconds. Only done a couple of times, but hasn't for a while. I think its a 'glitch' of some sort as it runs perfectly. I have had the same thing on petrol cars before, they start, feel like they are miss firing but will be fine after a few seconds. I did try starting it again but it's fine. I did think, like you, that it maybe the glow plugs or that the key was turned too quickly after the ignition was turned on and the glow plugs didn't get chance to warm properly. But its been fine for ages.
