wheres my glow plug relay at???

does anybody have any idea where the glow plug relay is situated on
my 1995 tdi golf [engine type 1z].Or even the serial number...or even
the number on the relay box itself.Sometimes my plugs heat,and the car starts fine after you hear the relay clicking off,then sometimes no click and no start.Obviously a faulty relay ,but where is the bugger at.

It could possibly be the glow plugs. I had similar problems with mine, from cold the glow plug light would never come on and I couldn't here the clicking. New glow plugs later and it starts like a dream. The relays are usually the last thing to go but I'm pretty sure it's mounted behind the dash, on the drivers side. I think you may be able to get to it by taking off the single drivers side blower vent and reach down into the dash.

cheers for the glow plug info Kenney;went to the breakers yard and got a cheap 103 glowplug relay for a fiver.However i still have the same problem,
where I can hear the relay clicking on and 10 seconds later it clicks off. The engine then starts,no problem.But later on when turning the key,no clicks on or off and the engine doesnt start.What could this strange problem be??
