Skoda Octavia Water In Driver Footwell.

HI,
I have a 2002 Octavia which leaks into the drivers footwell when parked on drive which slopes down.The garage reckons it was the door seal but if I cover the gap between the screen and the bonnet the leaks cease.Having seen references to rain channels getting blocked can someone point me in the right direction.I have looked but can see no obvious sign of any.
Hope someone knows or wellingtons it is!

Very common fault.

Check your pollen filter for leaves and rubbish.

Hi,finally got a dry day and the enthuasm to take wipers and chamber to pieces.Drivers side clogged with leaves by bonnet release cable.
Many thanks see what the next cloudburst brings.
