Hi folks, I'm a newbie on here,hello to everyone.Hope someone can point me in the right direction.
My brake lights have stopped working,I've changed the bulbs and checked fuse.
Now i don't know if it's related but there is a glow plug warning light with a message "engine workshop" displayed.Someone has told me the message means that a service is due but it seems a bit suspicious that my brake lights have ceased working. Any help greatly appreciated.

What car do you have? I know VW Golfs and Passats share a common brake light switch, which are very prone to fail.

hi stuart, it's an 02 sharan 1.9 tdi

Sorted now thanks.You were spot on stuart,the switch was sticking.I bought a new one and while fitting it the old one freed itself and seems to be ok now,still I'll know were to look next time.
