Planning a run to Nottingham from North Devon at the weekend so needing to fill up I had a quick look at the local garage fuel prices while we were out today.
    Local BWOC 103.9
    BP 104.9
    ESSO 104.9
    Sainsburys 103.9
    Tesco 105.9!!!
Got home an hour later, passing our local and it had gone up to 104.9 while we out. We have been used to getting ripped off every time the holiday makers are headed down here, for example on a bank holiday weekend the fuel, bread and milk all go up on the Friday and drop back down on the Tuesday. What do we have in store for us this summer 108?
Fuel prices are stupidly high, so even though my LPG system has a fault which will cost hundreds to sort, it is well worth it when LPG is 59.9 down here.
Why are people putting up with it, I thought companies would be screaming blue murder by now.

102.9. The other day paying @ the pump, I for the first time hit the max (£60) £60.09p before the pump stopped.

So unless I go inside I can't fill from empty now

devon seems good value compared to the midlands (birmingham, coventry and surrounding areas) 109.9 is common place.

I am shocked at the price difference. There is a Sainsbury's we use on occasion. We did on Saturday and as I had just filled up the day before I could not make use of the 99p gallon!

I should point out I am referring to petrol, which is cheaper per gallon and not Diesel.

Asda in Blackburn bang out unleaded at 100.9 pplitre.
Use an Asda Credit Card & you get a further 2pplitre discount.
I cannot believe that the cost of fuel is just being accepted by all manner of drivers..both social/professional & haulage (OK..they would use DERV...that's ruddy expensive too).
A few years back a UK version of the European Marmalade Card (Pipeline Card) was being muted as the way forward. This died before it was born.....

Not sure how/if this work BUT how about the a thread indicating the best value fuel in each of our own areas...or places that we travel through on a regular basis???
For what it's worth, I'll get the ball rolling...
    Asda (any)
Shell ..Blackpool Rd (Deepdale) Preston. St Peter's Way Bolton. A80 (near Cumbernauld....ALWAYS QUEUED UP!!)

    Cheers
    DNN
