Audi A8 4.2tdi

Hi Guys

Does anyone have much experience of the A8 4.2tdi? I'm hoping to do the cannonball in 2008 but don't really want to by an RS4 (damn!) as I think the mpg will be poor in comparison to the A8 post cannonball. Is this a fair comment? have I missed a VAG car that perhaps I should be considering??

yes i am fully licensed a8 tech,there a remarkable car and fuel economy is superb for the size and power of this engine.Very reliable and smooth as silk.And they shift a bit too

VW Touareg V10 TDI?!!

A8 4.2 TDI is one of the best diesel's out there and offers serious pace and torque!

Well if your doing the euro trip @ Entry cost £6,500 + VAT per person is fuel costs an issue???

Toureg V10 Tdi mm sounds good to me, I'll go and check that out. Thanks for the suggestion

the V6 tdi is the best in the touareg. the extra weight of the V10 adds to extra understeer.

go to this dealership http://www.volkswagen.co.uk/retailer...?dealer_no=581 and do a used car search for VO57 YUK £40000 3.0 TDI Altitude Touareg. Its an ex demonstrator ad as such may have extra kit on it. The interior has the carbon fibre look.
