    Angry Blown Turbo 2006 1.9tdi – 14-09-2006,08:03 AM
    Just had my 6 month old 2006 Passat 1.9tdi s estate towed from the side of the motorway. It appears that the turbo has blown at 27,000 miles( i do a lot of mileage). The AA guy who recovered my vehicle says that he has picked up a few mark 5 golfs with the same fault but VW have denied there is a problem. Has anyone else experienced this. Otherwise am very pleased with the car covers motorway miles with ease and returns about 48mpg.

    Never heard anything about this problem. You could try calling Volkswagen customer care and see what they say...
