    Hi all

So I've been having the max oil warning light pop up on my dashboard and wanted to drain some oil away. I was looking online and saw that you could siphon the oil out using the dipstick plug (followed YouTube video).

However, I think I've found it but for the life of me I can't get it out, I can twist it but just can't pull it out.

Just wanted to check it's the right plug I'm trying to pull.

    Thanks in advance!

They can be very tight but why is your oil high? On the V6 TDI this can be injector or DPF problems.

Hey crasher, think it's because we use it only for short distances it's already 6.5 years in and has 35k on the clock.

Get it serviced every year and seems to happen every 10-12 months in so goes away post service.

Think it was posted about max oil before and it was something to do with fuel getting into oil sump due to failed regen because of the short journeys.

I'll take it for a long run over the long weekend which should hopefully clear it.

Yes it is a common DPF pain, low annual milage and DPF’s don’t work.
