    Hi All,
I recently purchased an Audi A8 D4 and delighted with it.

I know the windscreen was replaced just before I bought it, and I suspect a single glazed cheaper screen may have been used, as I can hear wind noise quiet easily on the motorway.

Is there anyway to tell for sure if the front windscreen is single or double?

    Thanks

No A8s had double glazed glass anywhere, by double glazed, I mean like some very old S class Merc where there was an air gap.
What they have is laminated or acoustic glass. Most cars have laminated front screens and toughened side and rear glass.
The A8 generally has laminated all around but often as acoustic glass with premium sound system. This is laminated glass but with each pane being a different thickness, they have different harmonic frequencies and a different substrate laminating the outer and inner panes and this significantly cuts down noise passthrough.

You need to check the markings and symbols on your glasses to check if it has an acoustic symbol. Most but not all A8s become equipped, so download the MyAudi app and add your car to check the standard equipment.
