    Hi all,

I'm trying to retrofit ACC into my Mk 7.5. I've hit a roadblock and I'm unsure what to do next or how to solve it.

My car came with the front radar installed from factory (Part number 3QF907572), and I have fitted a MFSW to the car. My CANBUS Gateway is also compatible, as is my steering control module / clockspring.

I tried coding all the modules, but it threw up error codes relating to missing messages / implausible messages.

I've now tried flashing the radar with software, however whenever the flash starts, the software shuts down as it is losing connection to the ECU.

    Is there something I'm missing?

The Golf 7 with ACC can be a nightmare with its missing messages. I dropped out of doing most retrofits years ago as the whole process became too time consuming and stressful to make it pay, on the Ross Tech forum, retrofit problems seem to make up a disproportionate amount of posts. I suggest you contact https://www.hazzydayz.com and ask them as tellingly they don’t appear to offer this conversion although some other conversion companies do.

Thanks for the response, but to be completely honest I seem of of asked nearly every company in the UK. No one seems to want to give advice, apart from the “bring it to us and we can do it for £300+” which I’m trying to avoid as I want to be able to do it myself.

I might just have to give up

Sorry I can’t help. I refuse to buy a modern car which is the only way I would practice retrofits now but I am getting too old to be competitive in this game and too busy to want more work.

No don’t worry it’s okay, I’m kind of just throwing stuff at the wall at the moment on any forum I can just to see if I can get anything to stick.

I’ll probably give it a rest for now and pick the project back up in the future!
