    Hi fellow VW nuts.

I wonder if anyone could point me in the right direction regarding CCM issues on my Beetle? I am recommissioning this 2002 2.3V5 after 2 years languishing in a barn (literally. I put it there!).

The car starts and drives but since storing (and possibly due to my meddling) the CCM functions don't work. Possible reasons I guessed could be a) I tried a different instrument panel in the car, b)it's been stood or c)something has come loose.

Upon inspection I observed the following:

-The remote fob does nothing however the central locking works on the passenger door when using the key in the drivers door
-Mirror adjustment, door locking, windows and puddle lights do not work on either door
-Instrument panel illumination does not work
    -No interior lights

Having read about CCM functionality I am guessing its down to this, possibly related to me trying the different instruments and losing coding?

    Things to note:

    -Battery is charged
    -Car starts
-I have the usual warning lights on the instrument panel and aside from illumination this operates as normal
-I have checked all fuses (including 14, 37 and the extra 2 on the auxiliary rail.
-I have checked the relays are all seated correctly
    -CCM is plugged in
-I haven't disturbed anything in the doors
-I have scanned with a cheap OBD2 scanner but no faults show

Should I be looking for an electrical issue or a programming issue?

-If the former how do I best diagnose this? I can swap in a CCM module if needed.
-If the latter *I will have a new HEX-V2 cable and latest VCDS later this week but could use guidance on what to look for when scanning the module.

    Thanks in advance

    Update:

Now armed with the new HEX-V2 cable I scanned the car and have found that the (09) Central Electrics, (46) Central Convenience and (35) Central Locking modules are not communicating.

It does not have address 09 central electrics or address 35 central locking, just address 46 central convenience.
