Has anyone used a service plan when on flexible servicing?

I had an oil+inspection done and my next service will be in 2 year/20,000 miles - the service plan will only cover the oil part on the next service, not the inspection. I'm honestly not sure right now if the service plan adds any value.

Also, I was told oil+inspection (quoted cost £415 without the service plan) did not include the pollen filter (another £60!) - whereas the service plan did include it. Does this sound right?

I've worked out cost of 2 services over the next 2 years (including the current service) as:

    Without ServicePlan:
    oil+inspection = £415
    pollen filter = £60
    oil+inspection = £415

    TOTAL £890

    With ServicePlan:
    ServicePlan = £629
    - covers oil+inspection+pollen
    - covers next oil service only
Inpection cost on top = £250? (not sure how much it is on it's own)

    TOTAL £879

Have I missed anything? Not sure what the point is.

I took out the service plan last year but intend to get the oil change done after 10k miles. I had the full service done at the start of this year. My mileage has dropped off considerably as we are not allowed to go to the office en masse which means I am only in about 1 week a month. I would normally be on long life servicing and do an oil change myself in between but thought the service plan was pretty good value at £480 for a full service and an oil change. Previously the full service has always been over £400 for the last 4 or 5 years for any of the cars.
The car will then be almost 3 years and I can then decide whether to stick with long life with an interim oil change (by myself) or go with the fixed priced servicing / service plan. To be honest, the oil change is so simple and takes about 15mins - not worth paying £200 for. The oil and filter cost is about £40 if you get the oil at a decent price - Castrol Edge can often be found in costco at a good price.
Of course, mine is a 2.0 tdi so cheaper than the Q7 to service!

Just my luck - 2 months later, Audi have a 25% sale on service plans:

25% off Audi Service Plans for Audi's 3-15 years old - hotukdeals

Hopefully will benefit others on here.
