My b6 1.6 alz coolant bleed screw is snapped off and leaking, it was a plastic one. Will i have to replace whole metal pipe or can a new screw be bought that said removing the old one might be difficult.

Can anyone supply a part number for both items? My local dealer wont give out part numbers so ill have to buy there if i cant get a number

    Thanks

The "seal bolt" WHT 000 316 was dropped in November last year so unless you can find one stuck at a dealer you have to change the pipe to 06B 121 070 N with the new metal "seal bolt" which is £107.92 instead of £4.98 if VAG could be bothered to still sell it!

Yes use new washers, it is good practice. Really you need to remove the pipe to extract the screw with some gentle heat and then chase the thread which from alcohol fuddled distant memory is M10x1.25.

Got the bleed screw done bit of a faff to be fair, i got 90% of it out but I believe a small amount of the plastic bits got into my coolant system, I removed the pipe in the end, i had to re thread it and clean where the o-ring sat as it was very dirty and somewhat rusty. But its not leaking anymore i was sick of topping off the coolant. Theres a note in the service history from 2010 saying the head of bleed screw snapped of and was leaking! But obviously never replaced.
