Q7 adblue system fault, no restart after x kms

Hi, i have a 2016 Q7 and having issues a warning coming up about the adblue having x kms to go before no restart. The ******* quoted $7k to replace the unit. Am trying to find the part number and import to new zealand. Any help please??

I had this not too long after I bought my 2016 Q7 used approved after 2y, the dealer said the logic board needed replacing. But they could no longer get that part on its own so it needed a whole new AdBlue system installing basically. But it was I think only (?) like £2k, although done under main warranty. In UK. We need to know which part of the system they have diagnosed to be faulty. The common fault on cars up until September 2017 build is the pump unit and this means a complete new tank, ECU and filler line. It is not a huge job to install but is time consuming and must be correctly programmed into the car and I experienced difficulties doing this with anything other than the dealer diagnostic system ODIS although I have read of people managing it with full VCDS but it was stressful and took a lot lime... a few weeks of effort in one case. Injector failure was a big problem on cars built before September 2016 and even the later unit was unreliable.

Thanks heaps, I will try and get the information from the Audi service dept and post back up to see if I can source the part cheaper (from UK). The part in NZ was quoted around $6k NZD....with another $1k to install....just seemed excessive to me so keen to try and source the part and then take it to them to install

In the UK the dealer would refuse to do it, are they more flexible in NZ? I am just doing two Audi Coupes, an 88 GT and 87 quattro, when finished they are going back to NZ with the owner who has had enough of the UK and wants to go home.
