Door Seal/Drain Issue + other problems

Remarkably got a call at 5pm to say all the work had been completed and I could pick the car up. No chapter and verse on what had been done for each issue but apparently computers have been reset and software updated where required. Time will tell if the problems are fixed. Initial observations are good, CarPlay now works properly with no dead zone on the screen and the drive seemed much smoother with no lag when pressing the accelerator.

Great news, fingers crossed.

TBH, unless you are speaking to the Audi Technician I doubt you would.

I spoke to mine & he said that most new Audi's come in & get a SW update.

It could be small bugs that you may not ever notice but improvements never the less.

Not sure what SW update mine has, but it's now running 21 MY SW & yours should be the same.

My car has 1 & 3 above, plus

1. central locking error message,
2. external door handles do not return to the closed position,
3. parking brake fault - posibly due to water somewhere it shouldn't be and freezing,
4. drive system error (lose power on acceleration - get error message),
5. initial hesitancy when accelerating - no error message,
6. Water in rear door

Also as an FYI Audi has changed their policy regarding Brake Fluid replacement. Used to be 3 years from new and then every 2 years. From MY18 this is now 2 years from new and then every 2 years. Only mentioned when I booked the car in this morning

They have booked out the loan car to me for the rest of the week as they are not sure they can do everything in 2 days

Mine also has 2 - very annoying when driving off! Hopefully 6 is fixed for you and will be for me when it goes in tomorrow - that’s probably the most concerning.

Just been out to the car and opened the rear door to be greated with a waterfall, so clearly not fixed during yesterday's service! Hopefully the dealer will fix it before they sell the car to a new owner (see my post Ordered 40TFSi Avant)

Well mine is still at the dealers.

Apparently there is a fix which they have done for the warning system failure.

The door handles is caused by a known faulty component - why they didn't recall this I don't know.

They deny there is any problem with the door seal, as they have tested it with a mist and its fine..

The easy entry going the wrong way they also deny.

Similar to John they tried to entice me with a new car yesterday, I was thinking about it but have now decided this will be very last Audi. Too much poor service and faults.
