Possible Production Delays for A6?

The FT and a number of other outlets (404 Not Found! are reporting this morning that Audi has put 10000 staff on Furlough due to a shortage of Chips. Apparently car manufacturers are now competing with phone manufacturers for chips and it would seem they are losing out. This is affecting not just Audi but the wider VW group and Renault, Nissan, Ford, Mercedes plus others are also reporting issues. ANyone with an A6 that is due to be built in the next few months may have to expect a delay in its arrival

You wait until the fight over Lithium Ion battery raw materials starts... soon they will be digging up Cornwall and dredging the oceans for raw materials to use in these "environmentally friendly" cars.
