Just discovered the knocking from the rear. Broken coil spring. I want to replace myself but having looked on Youtube, ******* shows that not only do I need to support and then remove the bolt connecting the control arm to the rear knuckle but I also need to loosen the arm bolted to the beam. It also seems that I need to mark the current position on the camber adjustment bolt. If I need to do all that then its beyond my capabilities working on my drive. If, however, its just a case of removing the bolt connecting the control arm to the rear knuckle then I can do it myself.

It is the toe adjustment bolt, not camber and it is extremely likely it will be seized solid and will have to be cut down both sides of the bush to get it out, then a new bush, bolt and alignment. This is why we use a special compressor that slots in there with the lower damper bolt out and it squeezes the spring together so you can take it out

This was a rare one that came undone but the bush was FUBAR anyway.
