About 1 in 15 times the driver seat goes further back and not to the set position when you start the car, anyone have same issue?

Yes mine occasionally doesn’t set the seat correctly as well. The Passat I had previously was the same.

I have turned off the easy entry function if that is what it’s called as this would happen to me too.

I believe that it was due to combination of me clipping in my seat belt and also “adjusting myself” in the seat as it was moving. Perhaps setting off a Senator that the seat wasn’t able to move to the correct position or something, like the window trap sensor???

Got it sorted by Audi dealer just before Christmas. There is a software update correcting memory seat misbehavior.
I was worried that I won’t be able to replicate the issue while there but they seemed to know what to do.

That's handy to know, I'd given up even bothering with the memory buttons as they never seem to work

Yes I have the same problem - random position of the drivers set after starting the car as it tries to return to memory position from entry position. Mine sometimes even went backwards. On one of it's frequent stays back at the Audi dealership sorting out the multitude of issues a software update was installed to allegedly fix this fault. It still does it but won't do it when the dealer has the car anymore so they just say it cannot find an issue, very annoying.

Does anyone know if there is more than one software fix to this problem?

I too have this problem and have contacted my dealer enquiring after a software update after reading this thread
My experience is it is related to clipping in my seat belt and also moving in the seat
Surely Audi would know this when trying to reproduce but perhaps not
I will try and see how easy it is to reproduce today and will report back
I'm still awaiting a response from my dealer re any software update

There is already a fix (MMI software update) Memory seat malfunction was actually a problem that started after previous MMI update. They fixed one thing but broke another.
Each Audi service Centre should be aware at this stage.
I got it fixed just before Christmas
    Please read earlier posts.
Call to Audi and a software update fixes the problem. I had no issue with seat since.
