Anti roll bar bushes??

I have knocking coming from the front of my b6. have changed the control arm bushes and drop link but still knocking. I think my roll bar bushes have had it but my local factors cant get the bushes and vw say i have to buy the whole arm!! I can see some on ebay so would suggest you can change them. Anyone got any definite answers before I RIP the car apart? Many thanks all.

You can buy the bushes from some aftermarket sources such as Febi but there are a number of diameter variations. The bar itself can also be bought aftermarket and there is always the VW Passat Mk6 06-13 Powerflex Front Anti Roll Bar Bushes 21.7mm PFF85-503-21.7 | eBay option. The clamp halves around the bushes are peened over so they have to be drilled apart and it can make reassembly tricky and to do the bar you have to drop the subframe which means disconnecting the steering rack. Remember EVERY single bolt and nut you remove MUST be replaced, if a torque to yield bolt is reused it can lead to “waisting” which can cause component movement or even bolt failure.
