Hi all seem to have a hot start issue

It starts pretty fine even at 0 degrees but after a run takes a few more seconds to fire

    Crankshaft sensor has been replaced
Battery is only 6 months old and is a Bosch seems to turn over fine
Battery is charging well over 14 volts

I had a quick look on vagcom no fault codes

Only thing that I saw that seemed a bit off is the outside air tempreture shows 20c when it’s about 2-3 degrees at the moment

Does this sensor affect fuelling or is it just for the air con etc

    Any other ideas thanks

Have a look at this from the Ross-Tech forum, it surprised me :-
    https://forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/12542/

Seems that this sensor is used my multiple controllers including the engine ECU.

So could well be influencing the fuelling & causing your problem.

Thanks just the info I needed
I’m still having issues but mainly from warm

I also have a alternator not charging fault

This only happens if I stop when the cars warm for fuel etc

On starting up it flashes and it doesn’t charge the battery for about 10 seconds the alternator then charges as normal

Had it today when i stalled the car. Revving it in neutral brought the alternator charge back

I’m using a plug in multimeter to check this. Other then this warm start issue and the not charging briefly it always charges faultlessly no matter what I’ve got on in the car

Just to confirm the high figure was on vagcom

The actual speedo display displays the correct tempreture

The temp on the display shows fine and never goes up

Have changed the air sensor it now shows much colder then it is it’s -9 now lol
Only good thing is it matches to vagcom
Idle seems lower as it was pretty high before

I still get the fault for the alternator on vagcom even if the light doesn’t come on

Just waiting on a quote probably Chuck a starter on it too while there there
