Good morning, Thankyou for accepting me here.
    I have just acquired a 2004 Audi A4 3.0 V6 cabriolet.
    Problems being....
    1. Unknown engine issue. First inspection looks like water in sump mixed with oil.
    2. Probably most importantly NO keys.
    3. V5 not present but applied to DVLA.

Is there anyone on here who can provide the SKC if I purchase a key and transponder?

    Regards
    Ashley

The SKC system is no longer used, there are people who can access the immobiliser PIN but it is difficult to find someone good at it, they operate in a grey almost underworld area as many of their “services” are illegal. A chap I used to use told me of friends who setups had been taken with force by criminal gangs. In your case you could order a key cut to the cars VIN from Audi (it’s easy for us but I don’t know what hoops you wil have to jump through) and they will want proof of ownership at the very least. You can get car lockout people who will come out and find the keys number using a special tool and then cut you a new key, we used a mobile company to come out and do this for us when a T5 that was running decided to lock its doors. Neither of these will operate the central locking with the remote unless it is coded into the central convenience system which you can do with VCDS but then the transponder needs to be dealt with. Yes some mobile types can do it but I have found them all quite hard work to deal with so I use the dealer system ODIS now. To use this you would need to get the car to a dealer or specialist with GEKO security level ODIS BUT then you may find the engine is FUBAR and all the time and money down the drain so you need a quick and dirty method. I think I would order a basic (non remote) secondary key from Audi at £70.14 inc VAT retail or if you feel confident the main key at £90.84 (to which you can latter add the remote for typically £106) and then find a mobile chap who could match the transponder to the dash. Then you can see if the car is salvageable. Even if it isn’t, the car will be worth more on top of what you paid than the £200 you have spent, and easier to move.
