    Hi,
Thinking of a retrofit for ambient door light bars like this A6 Ambient Lighting Retrofit into my Avant.

Has anyone done this or similar on the A6 C7 facelift model year 2018. Wondering if the parts listed in the thread above are the same?

Also, is it possible to activate an ambient lighting menu (I have VCDS) in the MMI to control their brightness? Think I'd prefer to control them in a menu rather than hardwire into the analogue brightness dial that controls all the other lights.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks!

Thanks for your help @szymek and @doppelganger. Parts on order (arriving Tuesday) and MMI confirgured with background lighting menu with brightness control.

I've had an hour on erWin and printed out the various door trim removal diagrams. However I am stuck on which wiring diagram (98/4 98/6 98/7 ??) and which pins go into the various plugs on the door controller. Any help much appreciated! Even a hint as to where to find this on erWin would be a start. Basically I'll have 2x wires per door from the light bar, a ground (-ve) and live (+ve). Which connector PIN numbers do I connect them to?

    Thanks!

    Thanks for your help.

Door light bars installed, MMI control enabled, door modules coded.

The wiring and wrapping in tape doesn't take too long, its getting the door cards off that was time consuming. Found that I could 'reset' the door clips but did break a couple so was a good job I'd got a few spares ready. Not sure I'm ready to add the centre console light bars as I don't want break anything or introduce a rattle!
