Audi Connect and Google World script required for TPI 2044940/2 does anyone have it?

Hello,

After twiddling my thumbs I decided to buy some bits and pieces to get Audi Connect working with a USB network connection and a mobile router, tethered to my mobile phone.

Its been covered in a lot of forums over the years and works with success. This allows non SIM MMI3G+ navigation units to show Google Earth overlays and allows connection to Audi Connect without the SIM card.

I know that google earth overlays will stop working at the end of this year but I was keen to get this working, even if its for a couple of weeks and came across an issue which is stopping the Google Earth Overlays from working.

It relates to the firmware my MMI unit has which seems to have an issue in regards to where Google stores the satellite images on the MMI. I've done research and it seems to be resolved in TPI 2044940/2 which contains a script to fix the issue. You can read about it here https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...28016-9999.pdf

I've asked my Audi dealership about this TPI and they stated that my VIM doesn't fit into this category and they will not provide the script to me directly, even although it's a one line script. Can someone out there help out with this?

Hiya buddy. Sorry to be a pain but I’ve seen on the map you have vag com and are near me. I was wondering if you could help me in clearing an airbag light? Was removing plastic trim and removed the hazard light switch and the airbag light turned on. Was gonna swap mt mmi system to a new screen and WOUKD need that to be off for MOT. Could you help?
