Sorry to hear about your car Mrparkuk, it appears that some VW cars are being sent out before they are fully tested. I have Michelin tyres on MK7 and they have been fairly quiet. Once lockdown has eased I'll test drive a different Golf and see if it's any better than the previous one I test drove.

Cheers. Appears the best thing about my new mk8 is the tyres! At least they work.

Tyres make a huge different to noise. Ive got the bridgestone turanza t005 and they significantly louder than the primacy 4 on my mates mk8. However, having driven both i prefers the t005 grip level as its awesome in the wet.
