Just noticed this bit of the forum, gawd knows how long its been here?
Anyway I used to hate scanias with a passion, but over the last 5 years as ours have proved to be way more reliable then the Dafs, I have to admit they are if fact fine machines for us mechs to work on.
On the the other hand the older mdoels are a terrible drive, really really bad especailly when empty, new gen are very car like.

Hi there! It's great to hear that you've changed your opinion of Scanias. I totally agree with you that the newer models are much more reliable, and they drive much more like a car than the older models. It can be really disheartening when you're going with an older model, and it feels like you're being thrown around in the cab. The newer models are much smoother and more comfortable to drive. I had a Scania from 1995, and it gave me so big headaches, so a few years ago, I found a truck wrecker fromnationalcarparts.co.nz and decided to get rid of it. And instead, I got a new model from 2020. Very delighted with it!
