16577 (P0193) - Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor (G247): Circuit High Input

I misread it as P1930. The full engine code will be CAYC, the G247 fuel pressure sender shares its positive 5V power feed with five other sensors from a combined junction a few inches up the harness from the ECU fed by a single yellow/grey wire which is very thin at only 0.5mm² CSA and from the junction it drops to a 0.35mm² CSA yellow/grey wire but if the problem lay at the feed or the junction you would expect 5 other fault codes BUT I have had another forum members car in a couple of times now with a similar code on this same circuit together with a code report a problem with this circuit which I THINK is the ECU but we have not taken the £1.5K plunge yet... he may get shot of it. In your case I would expect the fault to be the sensor itself unless you also get

    4124 (P0651) - Sensor Reference Voltage B [168] - Open Circuit

To start with, check the G247 plug at pin 3 on the yellow/grey wire for an engine running 5v signal. I get the part number of the sensor to be 03L 906 054 A which is a revised part as they have been unreliable, the VAG retail price is £65.32. Remember when removing this sensor the system is under very high pressure.

This picture is of the junction on a CC so is very slightly different
