    Evening all.

Just been out in the car and on way home, in darkness, noticed the sliders for temperature adjustment and the volume slider are not illuminated.

I use the vol. adjust on the steering wheel so no issue really, but found myself fumbling with the temp sliders as it felt a bit cool in the front.

Been looking in the manual for an answer (yes, I did RTFM!). No luck.

Can any good people check confirm if theirs sliders do illuminate at night and/ or if so, how do I activate them. Thanks in advance.

Been asked in an earlier post here and no they are not illuminated. You can use voice commands to change temperature

Just wondering if this has changed for newer build cars? Or are they all the same with no illumination??

Yes, it’s been discussed at length. Major design flaw in my opinion, and quite how that got passed the testing phase is incredible

Sorry I did have a look but this was the only thread I could find about it.

So they’ve now changed it so it’s illuminated?

No, pretty sure they’re still the same. There’s a thread somewhere which suggests they looked into retro fitting, but the cost would make it prohibitive. The digitised climate controls is the one thing I really don’t like

If you press the climate hard button below the infotainment screen (I think it’s illuminated) it will bring the temp control sliders up on the infotainment screen and you can adjust the temp from there.
