Q7 4M Coolant fan control circuit fault, only start with jump starter

Hi
Own an Audi Q7. Went weekend shopping and after loading the car with goodies the car did not start. A drive system error message came on. The car would make a click sound and then turn off. Luckily I had jump pack in the boot and was able to jump start the car and it switched on. I thought maybe the battery is going as its winter and they tend to pack up in the winter. Once home I checked the battery voltage it was 12.4v. the car still would not start. The voltage would drop to 12v when starting and then back up to 12.4v with no load. I replaced the battery and still the same issue. I performed a diagnostic and it contains the errors below. basically the coolant fan and glow plug control module are getting low voltage yet the battery voltage is 12.8v with the new battery and 12.3ish when on load. ive checked the fuse and its fine. I looked at the connector for the coolant fan and the voltage there is 8.5v.. the connector has no water damage. ive looked at the earth wire for the coolant fan and that is clean with no rust.

the only thing I have not done is look at the relay. I cant locate it in any diagram. So basically what is causing the low voltage? any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

If the car starts with jump starter it rather indicates a problem with the battery. Try to recharged the new battery. Perhaps also the new one was not charged sufficiently.

All these errors could be caused by low battery. Charge fully the new battery, delete errors and try to start the car. It happened to me also couple of times when the battery was low - many errors.

the battery is showing 12.8v when the car is switched off
