Hi there just looking for some of your experience with the wireless charging. I am finding it works sometimes and other times just stops . I can put phone down and it will start, then driving down the road it can stop charging , I then pick phone up and place it down a few times and starts charging again . I do have a thin case on phone , but it is ok with my wireless charger at home

I have also noticed a message saying something like, please remove other items from charging are or words to that effect , The phone is of course the only item in there .

Just wondering if it is just no good with a case on at all , or there is an issue with mine, or it is just not great in general ? .

    Thank you for your time
    Regards
    Lee

Yes, my Galaxy S20 charges consistently as well. It's in the Samsung case. I did discover that it won't charge unless the engine is running - ie if the ignition is on but the engine has not been started it won't charge.

The message that you get about removing other objects means that it has detected something metallic (keys, for example) which can't be charged.

    From the manual:

The factory-fitted Infotainment system will provide information about the start of the charging operation and, where applicable, about any foreign objects with metallic components such as coins, keys, etc. that are detected in the stowage compartment. Remove foreign objects immediately.
If the mobile device has not been placed correctly or is too large, it cannot be detected or cannot be detected correctly. In certain circumstances, the system will then report that there is a foreign object in the stowage compartment. Correct positioning in the stowage compartment may rectify the fault.

If you havent done so already, uou could maybe try charging it without the case?

Perhaps the phone is moving around as you are driving? I have had that problem.

Worse for me is that if I'm using wireless Apple CarPlay and wirelessly charging the phone will overheat after about an hour, which causes the phone to slow down, maps stop updating etc. Apparently it's not unique to this car. I've resorted to using wired charging!
