    Hi,

I'm due to collect my new (to me) 2017 mk7.5 GTI later this week, but the dealer has told me they found a chip on the windscreen that they want to repair before supplying the car to me.

I used the erWin tool to get the full spec sheet for the car, and it has a heated windscreen - the invisible type.
How do identify that they have correctly replaced this with the correct screen, and not a normal screen? The climate conditions on the day of collection may not let me easily prove it works.

Does it say something on it?

If I turn it on through the climate menu, would it error if it wasn't there?

    Thanks

    Rob

Most likely they will repair the chip and not replace windscreen.

I hope so, but they've said they've booked for the screen to be replaced - I think the chip is on the drivers side unfortunately. I never saw it on the test drive, but I can see it on a photo I took.
