Hi all, stuck away from home without the handbook, so after some advice please.... caption has just popped up "add 1 litre oil" ... which I wish to do before driving home ... but which oil is recommended ?? Internet search is giving numerous options .... 2014 A6 Allroad 3.0 single turbo diesel .... Shell Helix Ultra Profesional seems to be the leader but which grade ?? 0w30, 5w30 or 5w40 ??? and do I need the "AV" type ???

    Many thanks .....

Looks like a 507.00 oil is specified.

    Shell site says:
    • Shell Helix Ultra ECT 5W-30

    And OpieOils says:

    • Shell Helix Ultra Professional AV-L 0w-30 Pure Plus
    • Shell Helix HX8 ECT 5w-30
    • Shell Helix Ultra ECT C2/C3 0w-30

but anything with that spec in the small print should do.

I write handy things like that inside the fuel filler cap. PSI / Bar tyre pressures, oil spec, radio code, etc.
