    Hi. Im changing the clock spring on a vw passat, the new part has the same part number except the last 2letters are different. Will the car need to be coded or is it a simple out with the old, in with the new. Thanks

    What year Passat, and what are the two part numbers? On maybe be a later revision of the earlier part, or a different spec for particular usage.

    Hi. Its a 2011 model passat with cruise control. Original part number is 5K0953569AB, and new part number is 5K0953569AS, vw said this was the latest part number for this car. Thanks

    Sorry, misread original post as was part code right. Looks like the right part .

    I expect you'll have to code module 16 in VCDS or similar. You'll want to get the coding from the original module while it is fitted to make things easier.
