    Hi,
2.0tdi Golf CBDB CR stalled on drive .Woukdnt restart until disconnected fuel pipe top of re-engine some bubbles escaped and car restarted on reconnecting hose however whether this noise was missing before or not we have noticed we no longer have a priming sound from aux pump under bonnet which we are sure we used to get when ignition turned on.
Local garage have charged me to change relays after I had no idea but pump still not priming .I have connected both rear and front aux pumps to power and they seem to spin so maybe something is telling them not to work.
I have driven the car approx 140 miles and goes /starts etc fine although maybe seems a little down on power ?-don’t want to use now in case doing some damage ??
Any ideas what the issue could be as even local garages not sure?
Booked into Vw earliest date 19/10 for diagnostic but feel may not show any codes anyway ??
    Stumped ?!Thank s

Unlike the PD diesels, the CR engines, which this is, only run the fuel pumps when they are either being cranked or are running.

There shouldn't be any air in the fuel so you need to find out how this is getting in.

Has the fuel filter been changed recently, as a bad seal there will give a problem.

I would take it to a VW Independent rather than main dealer.

Fuel filter was changed about a year ago .
Always used to prime on ignition prior to this stall.
Took to Audi specialist and no idea!
