Morning all. Just came up on dushboard emission icon. Car is running normally, fuel consumption normal. Two years ago I had similar symptoms and Audi replaced EGR valve and EGR cooler. I would like to remove and clean both but don't know where are they situated. Can anybody tell me where are they and how to remove them? Or any instruction online how to do it? Last time cost me £1200 to replace them. Thank you for any help. Also the fault code P2002 is coming up. 2 years ago Audi replaced EGR valve and cooler and was fine from that time. But now look similar again. To pay £1250 every 2 years it's kind of joke.

Get a fault code read done first, guessing it is the EGR may be wrong and you could clean the system and still have the fault code stored and light on even if you have cured it.

Two years ago I had the same situation and Audi replaced EGR and cooler.
    19226 - Particulate Trap Bank 1
    P2002 00 [237] - Efficiency Below Threshold
    Also the same fault code.
When I Google I saw, thaa lot of guys having this problem with 2.0 TDI Ultra ( 190 bhp) engines. One guy already replaced 3 times egr and cooler.

On a CNHA engine the G450 and G550 sensors are after the EGR take off and measure the pressure across the DPF so I am struggling to see how a faulty V338 EGR unit can trigger a false DPF efficiency warning. I haven't got one to hand today and looking at the diagram on ELSA it doesn't make sense either. Then again I am just working on a low milage 2015 Altea where a damaged passenger door wiring harness shut the whole car down right across all its CAN connected infotainment, convenience and Powertrain systems and nearly set fire to the car!

Hi Crasher. This fault from 2 years ago
    P200200 - Particulate filter, bank 1 ; malfunction
Management light on stady, no problems with driving. For over two years when Audu replaced egr and cooler was fine until yesterday. DPF burning out evsry 330 miles. That's why I pretty sure that is the same. But I can be wrong.

Then you had "P2002 00 - Particulate filter, bank 1 ; malfunction" now you have "19226 - Particulate Trap Bank 1 P2002 00 [237] - Efficiency Below Threshold", a subtle but important difference.

What do you mean Crusher? Should I force dpf regen? With your experience should I replace sensors? Which ones?

Many fault codes have secondary clarification codes such as [237] and in your case the first read said there DPF was faulty (which it appears it was not) and the lastest read shows it is not working as well as it should, what are you using to read the codes?
