So I started my car this morning and get greeted with all these lights, literally out of no where! CC 2014 2.0tdi.

I suspect one sensor or module has had a fault code so disabled everything it is linked to.

Any ideas? I have a mate with vagcom but wonder if this is a bigger problem.

That’s not a full dash of yellow, I have seen them looking like Blackpool illuminations... The problem could easily be just a weak battery, I can see it is low mileage and with it having stop/start the AGM battery used makes the cars electrics very prone to getting upset if the voltage drops below 12v during starting. A proper VAG specific code read using VCDS will show what is wrong (but not necessarily what to replace) and proper VCDS dongles and the latest software have freeze frame data or when the code appeared and this often includes the voltage. If you have not being using the car much recently I would strongly suspect the battery BUT having said that I have a 2010 Passat CC in at the Monet with similar illuminations on starting which a new AGM battery and replacing both main power relays has failed to cure... I am digging deeper tomorrow.

Thanks, didn’t think it was everything failing, did actually consider the battery as it dropped to 1 degree here last night for the first time since I’ve owned the car. I’ll get it plugged in and check freeze frames and battery voltage

Scan done, faults cleared (dash had already cleared before doing so) most fault codes were dated from 2018 I can’t remember what the others were but it’s all cleared and I’ll drive it around to see what comes back on. Pretty random for sure.

Can you advise on what battery you picked up, or recommend me one, is it size 096??

Hi. Did this solve your problem?
The same thing has just happened to me, but with more lights and failure notices.
Also, weird flickering, auto-stop, tyre pressure detection and auto-brake failing.
Any clues to how you fixed it would be very appreciated.

    Sounds like a failing battery.
