My allroad with 2.5 TDI AKE engine has started loosing coolant. Removing the tray under the front of the engine, there is no leak when cold but, when warm, water drips from the passenger side behind the sump drain plug and just forward of what I think is an anti-roll bar. This picture may make it clearer:

The picture is taken from the passenger side front looking backwards. The car is level L-R but sloping slightly down from back to front. Hopefully you can see the splashes on the anti-roll bar and I have drawn a red line where the coolant drips from. Looking down from the top I cannot see anything obviously leaking. What would be a likely source of a leak in that position?

There is 3 steal coolant pipes and water pump that may leak as well
With out inspecting with top engine cover off will b hard to judge....
Saying it only leaks when hot I will suspect thermostat opens and the leak starts....
Had that problem in my AKE....
It was corrosion on the pipes that got them....

Thanks. Another new observation - the vacuum pump on the back of the cylinder head is also wet. This is directly under what seems like a "nipple" on the header tank. Is this "nipple" an overflow? In the attached photo I have put a red dot by the bit I mean.

There is also a metal pipe running along the side of the cylinder head which is wet but this is at a lower level than the vacuum pump so water could be running off the pump onto it. This metal pipe joins the rubber one from the bottom front of the head tank but therubber hose is not wet.
