    Hello.
Ok, does anyone own an Audi A4 B6/B7 with the Soul Black (Gloss Black) dash board trim inserts and door inserts. If so, can you advise if the front & rear ashtrays along with the centre console manual gear lever surround are Soul Black.
I bought a 2nd set of door and dash trims in Soul Black expecting the ashtrays and gear lever surround would be Soul Black as well but they are just the Matt black plastic finish.
I’d really appreciate confirmation of what the finish of the ashtrays and gear lever surround is as standard with the dash & door trims in Soul Black.
    Thank you in advance.
    Stuart.

There are specific codes for the Soul Black items, such as 8E0857961M 6PS for the rear ashtray, where the 6PS means that finish. What codes are on what you have?

Here's a genuine looking example (rather than a mechanically similar part form China with the wrong code attached): NEW GENUINE AUDI A4 8E B6 B7 8H REAR CENTER CONSOLE ASHTRAY BLACK 8E0857961M6PS | eBay

Firstly, thank you for the reply.
I’m not too sure. I’m currently admitted in to hospital At present so I’ll have to check once I am discharged.

Thinking about it I'm not sure the material finish code will be embossed on it. Possibly on a sticker, but it may come down to comparing with what is known to be correct.

Hope you're out of hospital and able to check soon.

Attached is a picture showing the label attached to the trim parts taken yesterday by one of my house mates. It reads Fabre Soul. These are on all the dash trim parts and the door trim parts also.

No picture there, but if it has those labels on does it settle your mind that you have what you wanted?

It confirms the dash trim and the door insert trims but the front and rear ashtrays along with the gear lever surround are just a Matt Black plastic finish. The current front and rear ashtrays along with the gear lever surround are finished in Aluminium effect so I would of thought the replacement items would of been in Soul Black. So it just leaves a question of should they be in Soul Black or just Matt Black.
sorry, I cannot get a picture to upload.

The pic on eBay above shows a textured, matt black looking rear ashtray. Same as yours?

Yes, both ashtrays and the gear lever surround are in the Matt Black finish, I’m thinking of wrapping them with Gloss black wrap which should be fun as I have never done it before.
