I am having problems removing the 8mm allen bolts for the rear caliper brackets. I have tried wd40 with a lot of hammering. Dare not try a breaker bar as at least one of the 8mm allen bolts looks a little stripped. Do you think a little heat persuasion would help? I'm kinda thinking to leave them alone but would like to get them off so any future work will be easier. Thanks

Innotec deblock oil is quite good. Also a really well fitting Allan key socket.

We often have to employ the hot spanner but you will not have access to this. Obviously the bolts must be replaced, part number N 907 403 02 and £1.37 each. Brand new genuine OE TRW caliper carriers for the typical solid disc Golf 4 are only £30 each from *******, part numbers BDA589 and BDA590.
